Refuse Disposal

Rubbish from the campsite is collected in the wheelie bins which are located in the car park.

Bridges

Two bridges cross the dean burn beside the Roman Bath. The bridges provide access from Forth Lodge to the Baronial Hall and camping field. The bridges are wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs.

Watch out for the trolls!

Information Point

The information point situated at the north of the camping field includes a site map and notices about events activities taking place in and around the campsite.

Roman Bath

The Roman Bath is a large man made pool fed by the Dean Burn. It is a great spot for pioneering projects or bases and can also be used for a quick swim!

Site Information

The information point located beside the Chalet shows the names of the groups using each of the sites.

Water

A number of drinking water taps are available around the site.

Viewpoint

The view point is situated on the hill to the South of the campsite. A marvellous view of Edinburgh's famous skyline is available from the point. The viewpoint has a direction cairn showing many of the visible landmarks.

Woodpile

The woodpile is the source of fuel all year round for campfires and cooking. Located at the Southeast corner of the camping field ensuring wood is easily available at every site.

Millenium Cairn

The Millenium Cairn was built to commemerate the eight districts within Edinburgh Area Scout Assiciation,at the begining of the new Millenium. This was offically unveied by George Purdy, the Chief Scout, during his visit to Bonaly in June 2001
