On-site Facilities

Perfect for an evening barbecue, the barbecue shelter is situated on the west side of the camping field. The barbecue shelter must be booked in advance.

 

To the southeast of the main field is the campfire circle with tiered seating grouped around a large circular fireplace. There is also a small stage. The campfire circle is an ideal place to end the day, with a barbecue, a communal singsong or a traditional Scout campfire.

Prior booking is advisable as the campfire circle is very popular with centre users. Campers should note that preference is given to chalet users.

 

In the southwest corner of the centre is an open air chapel. The Chapel (circular in shape) is available to all centre users - no matter what religion they may belong to.

It is advisable to check with the Centre Manager before hand to make sure it is not being used by another group.

 

Accidents do happen and when they do it is important to be prepared. Bonaly has a first aid point located at the activities store beside the garage. This first aid point is manned during large events. Although these facilities are available, groups should bring their own first aid kits with them.

 

Although the Training Team has priority when running courses, the Training Centre can be used by groups using the Chalet for normal activities. It can also be used by other groups for training purposes, or indoor games in inclement weather.

 

The tuck shop, located in the McCallum Building is open daily for the sale of sweets, drinks, souvenirs and general camping requirements. The times of opening are publicised on the notice board. If these do not suit you can always make special arrangements with the Centre Manager.

Located outside the McCallum Building are soft drink and chocolate vending machines. These are available to site users at all times.

 

This 30x10m shelter is ideal for the odd occassions when we have inclement weather at Bonaly! Located at the entrance to the field, The shelter is open plan. Many activities can still be completed in the shelter while the rain falls all around.
