Science and Nature

Bonaly has its own Nature Studies Centre on site, set up with the help of the Pentland Ranger service. Further afield (30 to 40 mins) are Edinburgh Zoo, Deep Sea World, The Edinburgh Butterfly Farm and The Royal Botanical Gardens.

Each Easter Edinburgh hosts The International Science Festival. During the rest of the year you can visit the Royal Observatory, Camera Obscura and the Royal Museum of Scotland.
