Main Field
The main camping field is the central field. It is well maintained and can accommodate up to two hundred at any one time and is suitable for groups of any size – Patrols, Group, District or larger camps. There are ten wooden shelters, altar fires and drinking water taps around the perimeter of the field. There is also a supply of timber that can be used for fires.
Druim Field
The second camping areas is the Druim Field, this is 10 acres of ground that is suitable for ‘back to basics’ camping, making this ideal for Patrol, District or Area Competitions and camps. Again there are toilets, water and a supply of timber for fires.
The Chalet
Overlooking the entrance to the Centre is the centrally heated chalet building providing self catering accommodation for 48 people.
The accommodation is divided between three floors -
Lower Ground Floor (Staff area): 2 bedrooms with 4 beds in each shower room and toilet facilities.
Ground Floor: 2 bedrooms with 6 beds in each, 1 bedrooms with 4 beds, Showers and toilet facilities, Dinning Hall, Fully equipped Kitchen, Laundry Facilities, and Leaders Lounge.
First Floor: 1 Bedroom with 4 beds, 1 bedroom with 8 beds, 2 bedrooms with 6 beds in each, Shower and toilet facilities.
Bedrooms: each bedroom has pine paneling on the walls, carpeting, bed lights, wash hand basins and wardrobe / storage facilities. Users require to bring their own sleeping bags and pillows.
Kitchen: a six burner gas cooker with grill and double oven, industrial size larder fridge, dishwasher, microwave, electric urn and kettle, toaster, hot cabinet, freezer, wash hand basin and double sink unit, cooking utensils, pans, trays, and cutlery, crockery for 48 people.
Dining Hall: 5m x 10m with tables and chairs for 48 people.
Lounge: somewhere for leaders to ‘chill out’ after a hard day
Forth Lodge
Forth Lodge is a centrally heated building purpose designed for use by special needs groups. It is fully equipped and can accommodate 24 people.
Bedrooms: 3 bedrooms with 6 beds, 1 bedroom with 4 beds, 1 bedroom with 2 beds. Each room has under bed storage, wardrobes, carpeting and bed lights. Pillows are provided, but users require to bring their own sleeping bag. Duvets and linen can be provided at an additional cost.
Dinning hall: 5m x 8m with tables and chairs for 24 people.
Kitchen: Contains a six burner electric cooker with grill and double oven, larder fridge, dishwasher, microwave, hot cabinet, wash hand basin, double sink, cooking utensils, pans, pots, cutlery, crockery etc for 24 people.
Toilets / Showers: The toilets and showers are designed for special needs requirements.
Other facilities: First Aid room / Leaders lounge / Laundry Facilities
Baronial Hall
At the corner of the camping field is the Baronial hall. The hall 5m x 10m, with overhead heating and a large open fireplace. There is a separate room with a kitchen sink, cold water and worktops which can be used for catering. This building is used primarily by campers in inclement weather.
Blair Barn
Near the entrance to the main camping field is the Blair Barn. The barn consists of one large covered area of 10m x 15m and an Events Coordination Room. Because of its location it makes it ideal for use as a base for running a large event on the main field – The Barn is ideal for use in inclement weather. Groups can book The Barn for their exclusive use. This is also used for a meeting area for the co-ordination of activities.
NEW Toilet Block
Situated near the main field and Forth Lodge, this offers a well specified set of ladies + gents toilets & shower rooms.
