Campsite

The main camping area is in the central field, which can accept up to 200 campers and is suitable for groups of any size from individual or patrols up to full group camps. The central field is split into ten sites each with its own altar fire and shelter which may be used to store equipment.

A regular supply of firewood is available from the woodpile at the south east corner of the field. Fresh drinking water is available from taps located at the edge of the field.

The wash block containing flush toilets, wash basins and hot showers is situated west of the site.

Druim Field

In addition to the main camping area, this field provides an opportunity for back to basics camping. Provided only with a water supply and a small toilet. Drum field allows a safe environment for groups of up to 200 to experience camping, without the luxuries that modern activity centres provide.
It has been said that after a few hours in this field, you feel as if you are deep in the heart of the countryside, lost from civilisation!

Zodiac Bothy

Formally the Field Studies centre, this basic building provides an area for a small group to use as a base for overnight stays without the added work associated with tents.
The lack of beds means sleeping bags and mats are still a necessity, but a small firewood Aga is provided.
Ideal as the bothy stay is necessary for part of the zodiac award, it can also be used for older groups who are spending a lot of time off-site
